I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University 🇦🇺, and a Research Affiliate at Monash University 🇦🇺 and Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) 🇪🇨.
My research lies at the intersection of human-centred AI, artificial intelligence in Education, learning analytics, with a focus on healthcare and other high-stakes professional domains. My work investigates how multimodal data, including audio, video, physiological, spatial, and interaction data, can be transformed into interpretable, trustworthy, and actionable analytics to support learning, reflection, and decision-making.
Prior to joining RMIT, I held postdoctoral research fellow positions at Monash University (2022–2025) and Carnegie Mellon University (HCII) (2020) 🇺🇸. I completed my PhD in Learning Analytics at the University of Technology Sydney (2020) 🇦🇺 and my MSc. in Artificial Intelligence at KU Leuven (2013) 🇧🇪.
